WEST Yorkshire Police seized fake cigarettes and tobacco from a Bradford shop yesterday.
Officers from the Bradford East team visited the shop, in the Bolton and Undercliffe ward, regarding the possible sale of counterfeit cigarettes.
A number of cigarettes and tobacco products were seized by police from the shop.
Police also informed trading standards who will now deal with the shop owner.
Anti-illegal tobacco campaign group, Keep It Out, states on its website that the sale of illicit tobacco contravenes the Tobacco Products Duties Act 1979.
The site explains counterfeit tobacco products also contravene the Trade Marks Act 1994.
