BRADFORD Cathedral's 100th anniversary year celebrations have gotten underway with four events at the building on Sunday.
The Bishop of Leeds, the Rt Rev Nick Baines, led the congregation in with a glorious Choral Eucharist sung by the Full Foundation of the Cathedral Choir.
Then later on Bishop Nick have an address and led a discussion on Going Back A Different Way - Being Christian In A Populist World before there was a Festal Choral Evensong and the launch of the Centenary Year.
Also on Sunday there was the opening of Eva Mileusnic's installation Counter-Flow which sees the display of 100 pairs of slip cast porcelain feet, representing migrants' feet and celebrating the rich and diverse communities of Bradford.
The feet will be on display in the Artspace during January and will then perambulate around the Cathedral.
The parish church of St Peter's became Bradford Cathedral in 1919 on the formation of the Bradford Diocese and many events are planned to mark the anniversary.
