AN independent school in the district is holding a taster evening this week for prospective A-Level and BTEC students.

Fulneck School, based in Pudsey is holding its Sixth Form taster evening on Thursday, January 10, from 6pm to 8pm.

At the taster evening, students will be able to visit the school, in the Fulneck Moravian Settlement, see its facilities, meet teachers and chat to current students.

Ian Harrison, head of Sixth Form at Fulneck, said: “Our new Sixth Form Study Centre provides an outstanding experience for every student.

“It offers opportunities to excel through enrichment and leadership, while preparing them for the challenges of university or employment.

“We are large enough to offer a wide range of A-level subjects along with a number of Level 3 BTEC courses, but small enough to provide an unrivalled level of individualised care and guidance.

“The taster event is the perfect opportunity for prospective pupils and parents to learn more about why Fulneck is the perfect place to study.”

Fulneck School is also holding its annual entrance assessment on Friday, January 18 for prospective students.
