SHEEP on the line caused more than an hour's delay to the 08.56 Leeds to Skipton train this morning.
A spokesman for Northern said two sheep were struck on the line at Cononley, between Shipley and Skipton, at around 10am.
The strike caused a fault to the train which required a repair.
The train was able to get on its way again at 11.15am.
The delay caused a defendant to be late for an appearance at Skipton Magistrates' Court.
