A TEENAGER believed to be part of a group behind a catalogue of crime and anti-social behaviour in Holme Wood has been banned from the area for two years.

Creddy Taylor, 16, has been served with a Criminal Behaviour Order which also prohibits him from entering The Broadway and Bradford Interchange, as well as any branch of Asda in the United Kingdom.

Taylor, who has nearly 20 convictions to his name and is currently serving a sentence for violent disorder, was identified by police as part of a group who were frequenting the area to instigate anti-social behaviour. He is due to be released in the next few days.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "The order, made at Bradford Magistrates' Court last month, also bans the teenager from associating with four other teenagers who are believed to be part of the same group, as well as congregating in a public place anywhere in Bradford District with others in a manner which is likely to cause any person to fear for their safety."

Inspector Shelley Slarke, who leads the Bradford South Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Taylor is well known on the Holme Wood estate and it is believed that he and his associates are responsible for many criminal offences in the locality and the anti-social behaviour which has had a detrimental impact on those living in the area.

“We hope this order will help us to mitigate his offending behaviour, as well as publicly demonstrate that police and partners will take appropriate action against those whose actions cause concern among our communities.”
