A CHILDREN’S entertainer could be the latest to fall victim to a gang of quad bike thieves targeting the region.

Derek Prydderch is appealing for information to help catch the crooks who seized six Suzuki LT50s yellow and blue livery bikes from a trailer parked in the garden of his Bradley home.

Mr Prydderch says the bikes are worth around £4,000, although they each cost £2,000 when he bought them for his business Children’s Amusements Wrexham a number of years ago.

He says one of the bikes has already been advertised for sale on Facebook Marketplace by a woman in Rhyl, but when he informed the police the advert was taken down from the website.

His business specialises in fun fair attractions and he attends fetes, carnivals and community events with the bikes as well as bouncy castles, stalls and various rides.

“I have CCTV but they went into a field at the back of my house and cut the fence and then the lock of the trailer,” said Mr Prydderch. “I’ve been running this business since 1966, but I won’t be able to buy replacements and it is just fortunate that it is seasonal.

“We are just hoping someone has some information that can help us.”

The bikes were taken on December 9, days after two other quad bike thefts which police have linked.

A red Suzuki quad bike was stolen from a farm in Cilcain overnight on December 4 and a dark green Arctic Cat quad bike was also taken from a property in Liverpool Road in Buckley, overnight on December 7.

North Wales Police have warned quad bike owners to be vigilant and have revealed the serial numbers for the six stolen from Mr Prydderch are:
