BRADFORD Council expects to make at least £100,000 a year on a city centre car park it purchased.
The authority bought the NCP multi storey car park on Hall Ings last year for £4.15 million.
At the time the Council said that the purchase was part of a commercial investment. But they claimed the site would also be a key part of plans to improve Bradford Interchange, which could include a a stop for the Northern Powerhouse high speed rail line.
At a meeting later today, members of the Council’s Regeneration and Environment Scrutiny Committee will be given an update on the Council’s property estate.
They will be told that the NCP car park “will generate a minimum annual net surplus of circa £100,000 per annum.”
The committee meets in City Hall at 5.30pm.
