YORKSHIRE Tiger has said a horror crash in which one of its buses careered through the front of an opticians in Shipley has been "dealt with in line with internal procedures".

The crash happened back in October.

Shocking pictures taken at the scene show the bus lodged in Shipley Eyewear Opticians on Kirkgate.

Firefighters had to carefully winch the vehicle from the smashed up front of the opticians.

In the aftermath, Nazmin Aktar, 37, spoke of how she locked up and left for lunch just five minutes before the shocking scenes unfolded.

She rushed back after hearing people talk about the crash in a shop, only to find the single-deck bus had smashed through the business, which has been in the town for around four-and-a-half years. Yorkshire Tiger launched an investigation into the crash.

Managing Director Matthew Ashton said: “ Full and thorough investigations were carried out, assisted by both the Police and DVSA and this incident has now been dealt with in line with internal procedures."
