STUDENTS and staff at a Bradford high school have collected a large number of donations to support homeless young people in Bradford this winter.
Tong Leadership Academy has been running a shoebox appeal, collecting bundles of warm clothing, toiletries and food which will be donated to Bradford Nightstop.
The charity provides emergency accommodation for homeless people aged 16 to 25-years-old.
The donations are part of Tong’s Festive Winter Gift Programme.
Daniel Styles, principal, said: “Bradford Nightstop is doing incredible work to support some of the most vulnerable young people in our society.
“I am overwhelmed by the response of our school community, who at this time of year like to step up our charitable efforts to offer a helping hand. No young person should have to sleep rough or stay in an unsafe place.”
