A MAN in his 90s was seriously injured after being hit by a car in Darlington last night, Thursday.

The 92-year-old was struck by the Renault Clio shortly after 10.05pm last night on High Northgate.

The car was travelling south, approaching the traffic lights at John Street, when he struck the elderly man on the road.

Paramedics attended the scene and rushed the man to hospital.

The driver and passenger of the car  - two men aged 49 and 32 -  were uninjured.
