A Bradford PCSO ended up in A&E after being jabbed with a needle while on duty.
The PCSO, based at Lawcroft Police Station, tonight thanked colleagues who came to his assistance.
He tweeted:“Unfortunately another not so positive shift today. Ended up in the A&E after getting jabbed by a needle. Massive thank you to my team for coming and helping. Also @WYP_PS6365 for sitting in the hospital with me, means the world.”
The incident came as it emerged that 48 Police Officers have been assaulted in West Yorkshire in the past week.
These attacks included 16 Kicks, 12 Punched, 11 Spat at, 5 Bitten and 1 Head butted.
