SALTAIRE Primary School has retained its ‘Good’ Ofsted rating following a recent inspection.
The school, in Albert Road, was praised for “creating a culture where pupils thrive emotionally and academically”.
It said: “Pupils receive a good education and make good progress in a caring and nurturing environment.
“Pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities make good progress from their starting points.
“ Pupils behave impressively well. They are highly self-confident, caring individuals.
“They enjoy learning and attend very well, and value the friendly and inclusive ethos in the school.”
To become Outstanding, the school was told to improve the progress of disadvantaged and the most able pupils, particularly in reading and maths, and to make sure work set by teachers consistently challenges pupils.
