WITH temperatures dropping daily this week, the first snowfall of the winter season has been forecast for Bradford - this weekend.

The Met Office has said there is an 80 per cent of snow in the district at 6pm on Saturday, December 15.

There is also a 50 per cent chance of snow earlier in the same day at 3pm, so Bradford City may need the bright orange snow balls on standby for their match against Walsall, if the snow settles.

It is expected to turn into more sleety snow by 9pm, before any snowfall dissipates by 3am on Sunday.

There are no indications at the moment of how much snow could fall, or if it will settle, but temperatures are set to drop to highs of 1° during the day on Saturday.

Temperatures are set to fall towards the end of the week, before a stiff wind picks up on Saturday, with gusts of up to 30mph, meaning it will feel more like -5°, so wrap up warm if you are out and about at the weekend.

While some snow is forecast this weekend, the prospects of a white Christmas are not looking promising.
