A FAMILY is lighting up their street again with a fantastic Christmas lights display to raise money for charity.
Carol Montgomery and her family have switched on their illuminations in Haycliffe Drive, off Moore Avenue, Wibsey, and are hoping to collect cash for Cancer Support Yorkshire.
She said they chose that charity because it helped her dad Russell through his cancer diagnosis.
He died of cancer aged 72 in 2006 and it is also in tribute to her mother Sheila, who died in 1991 after a road accident.
The charity tradition was started at the family's former home in Queensbury in 2006.
The family put up their lights every year to raise money and in 2017 collected £100.
This year they have added more lights and silhouettes to increase the dazzling effect.
The hard work to get the decorations up begins in November and the stunning display will stay up until January.
People can either post donations through the couple's letterbox, or place it in the donation box outside.
