A RAIL passenger has revealed he is looking for a new job after a timetable change meant his journey into Bradford would force him to change at Leeds.

Nicholas Linley, from Garforth, says he will now find it difficult to travel 25 miles into Bradford because the most recent timetable re-shuffle means 15 minutes will be added onto his existing 45-minute journey.

He said: "What is most demoralising about this change is the last dozen years have seen above inflation rises on the cost of tickets and railcards delivered with the promises of service improvement at some point in the future.

"Those improvements have yet to be seen and now going into 2019 this service is going backwards.

"In effect an established link between east Leeds and key employment, education and training areas has been removed."

"It is a sad reflection on our rail network to think a regular customer of many years is contemplating looking for a new job due to the difficulty of travelling just 25 miles by public transport."
