STUDENTS at a Bradford school have donated toys and treats for disadvantaged children this Christmas.

Laisterdyke Leadership Academy has teamed up with Bradford Cinderella Club to spread some festive cheer for the less fortunate.

Students prepared 70 gift boxes containing items such as toiletries and clothing, along with a selection of games, toys, arts materials and books for children of different ages.

It is part of the school’s Festive Winter Gift Programme, supporting the local community.

Tara Kirby, project leader, said: “This year we wanted to come up with a gift programme that would really engage our pupils.

“Bradford Cinderella Club is a fantastic local charity that supports so many young people in our community, so it was the natural choice for our pupils.

“I am very proud of our pupils and the generosity they have shown.”
