NEWCASTLE United legend Paul Gascoigne has appeared in court after being charged with sexually assaulting a woman on a train.
The 51-year-old pleaded not guilty during a short hearing at Peterlee Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
The former England player has been accused of sexually assaulting a woman by kissing her.
He was arrested at Durham Station on August 20 and the incident is alleged to have happened in Darlington, on a train between York and Durham.
Mr Gascoigne is due to appear at Teesside Crown Court on January 8.
He was granted unconditional bail.
