THOSE who give up their time to help shape healthcare are to be recognised at a special afternoon tea.
Bradford District Cate NHS Foundation Trust will hold the special event tomorrow at the Bradford Hotel. The trust's Patient Involvement and Experience Team works with people from across the Bradford, Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven areas who have chosen to be actively involved in trust projects. These people draw on their own experiences of using trust services to advise and suggest improvements.
This feedback is then used to shape services.
There are a number of ways people can get involved - from developing information leaflets to attending meetings and participating in staff recruitment. Isla Skinner, the trust's Patient Experience Lead, said the contributions it receives are "invaluable".
"This feedback allows us to continually ensure that the care we provide meets the needs of our local communities," she said.
