The van which was being driven on false plates
A VAN driver had his vehicle seized in the early hours of this morning, after it was found to be bearing the wrong plates.
Officers from the West Yorkshire Police Roads Policing Unit stopped the white Mercedes-Benz van at around 4am, for not being taxed.
The RPU said the owner had decided to swap the vans licence plates for foreign plates to try and avoid paying tax.
The driver was fined at the roadside and also reported for the offence, as well as having his vehicle seized.
