A MAN aged 25 is in custody awaiting a lengthy prison sentence for a serious stabbing incident in Baildon.
Ross Hunter, of Sissons Road, Leeds, pleaded guilty at Bradford Crown Court today to unlawfully and maliciously wounding Aaron Hogan with intent to do him grievous bodily harm.
Hunter also admitted possessing a knife as an offensive weapon in Cliffe Lane West.
His not guilty plea to attempting to murder Mr Hogan was accepted by the prosecution.
The case was adjourned for medical evidence on Mr Hogan’s condition and a victim personal statement from him.
Peter Hampton, Hunter’s barrister, conceded: “It will be a lengthy custodial sentence,” but asked for a probation report.
The court heard that Hunter had been locked up in 2011 for a series of robberies.
He was remanded back into custody to be sentenced on January 11.
Mr Hogan was taken to Leeds General Infirmary after he was attacked near the Baildon Green Convenience Store just after noon on October 31.
