A BRADFORDIAN has hosted his sixth national Black History Month event this year.
Tony Fernandez organises the annual celebrations which take place at the Houses of Parliament.
This year's event, on Friday, October 26, saw a host of esteemed special guests and speakers including Kehinde Andrews, Professor in Black Studies at Birmingham City University and motivational speaker, Dr Tokie Laoton Brown.
Some attendees even travelled from as far as Nigeria, Ghana and the USA.
The Black History Month celebrations began as a small seed in Mr Fernandez's mind and it aims to bring people together to spread knowledge and empower.
Mr Fernandez moved to Bradford earlier this year, but has organised events across the world, as well as visiting over 23 different European countries.
In 2017, he was named "An Ambassador for Peace" for The Universal Peace Federation.
