A SECONDARY school’s plan to increase the amount of pupils it takes on each year will be discussed by Council bosses next week.
Titus Salt School in Baildon is planning to increase its Pupil Admission Number from 240 a year to 250 a year from September.
The application will be discussed by Bradford Council’s decision making Executive on Tuesday, where members will be told that the school already regularly accepts 250 pupils each year.
A report says: “The school has over a number of years admitted up to 250 Year 7 pupils, some through appeals, to help meet the demand for places in the Aire Valley secondary school planning area. The proposal would formalise the increase in PAN from 240 to 250 to assist the school in its’ planning and better meet the preferences expressed by parents.”
The school consulted with parents and staff about the changes at the start of the school year. Eight people supported the plans, and two objected to them.
