CAMPAIGNERS fighting plans to build a waste to energy incinerator in Keighley will stage a public meeting near the town centre tomorrow.
This event, being organised by Aire Valley Against Incineration, (AVAI) will be in Central Hall, Alice Street, from 7pm on Tuesday November 27.
The group and its supporters are opposing Endless Energy Ltd, which intends to develop the waste to energy burner off the eastern end of Marley Road, next to the Aire Valley Bypass.
The company has applied to the Environment Agency for a permit to operate the facility.
An AVAI spokesman said people who attend the meeting next week would be able to learn more about the ongoing Environment Agency public consultation into the incinerator plans.
He added: "We'll aim to give an overview of the consultation process, what has happened so far and what we've learned during this process.
"We'll give additional information which will help people understand the key issues and how they can most effectively make their objections to the Environment Agency. There will also be a question and answer session."
