OLD doors, paint pots and a fridge have been dumped near a children’s playground in Manningham, much to the concern of a nearby community centre.

Elizabeth Hellmich, chairman of the Millan Centre in Victor Street, contacted the Telegraph & Argus with her concerns over the fly-tipped waste.

She said the rubbish and other DIY materials had been left on the pavement next to the Victor Street playground.

She said: “How inconsiderate and thoughtless can fly-tippers be and how unconcerned they are to the dangers they have put the public in.”

She added that a thoughtless person has “caused issues for a community who are trying to clean up their area and are responsible citizens.”

Bradford Council previously urged the public to report fly-tipping to them with as many any details as possible, such as licence plates.

“We need people to help us in our battle against this menace,” they said.
