CHILDREN at a Bradford primary school performed a special song called "Choose Kindness" as part of their efforts to mark anti-bullying week.

Pupils at Beckfoot Heaton Primary talked about how to spot bullying, as well as learning that it is important to show kindness every day.

Deputy headteacher Catherine Phillips said: "At Beckfoot Heaton Primary School we are proud to celebrate individuality and recognise strengths in all our pupils.

"We have worn odd socks all week to celebrate difference and remind our children to be proud of who they are, even if it means they stand out from the crowd."

She added that the school came together to spell out a message in the playground to "show our unity and determination that we can change the world, one small act of kindness at a time".

One year three pupil, Maha, said: "We are trying to stop bullying so do whatever you can to choose kindness."
