Canal boat targeted

CASH and alcohol were stolen from a canal boat moored in central Oxford.

A burglar forced the back door of the boat open on Castle Mill Stream near Rewley Road, between Wednesday and Friday.

Last week police appealed for witnesses after a canal boat was burgled near Hythe Bridge Street.

Car stolen from driveway after house ransacked

CAR thieves smashed their way into the back of a house to snatch the keys to an Audi car.

Police said the thieves broke the glass patio doors at the back of a house in Five Mile Drive, North Oxford.

It happened on Friday, between 9.30am and 6.40pm, police say.

Thieves reached through the broken glass to get hold of a door key.

By using the key to unlock the door, they were able to get inside to ransack the house.

During the raid, a set of car keys was stolen for an Audi S5 Estate, which was parked on the drive. It is grey and has the registration number RV17 T**.

Jewellery and cash taken in Cowley 

CASH and jewellery were stolen from a house in Cumberland Road, Cowley.

The burglary occurred on Friday between 6:40pm and 8:30pm.

Entry to the building was gained via a small ground floor window which was used to open a larger window.

A messy search took place and the items were taken. 

Thieves strike again in Bulan Road

A SPADE was used to force open the rear doors of a house in Bulan Road, Headington before jewellery and cash were stolen. 

It's the second time in a week a burglary has occured on the street after a Mercedes was taken from a driveway on Wednesday.

The most recent incident took place on Friday between 11:30am and 5pm.

Another burglary - this time during the day

A WINDOW was forced open and thieves ransacked a house in Barton.

Police said the burglary occurred in Barton Road on Friday between midday and 11pm.

After a search, jewellery and other items were stolen.
