FORGET Black Friday, this is the deal residents always like to keep an eye out for.

Ikea's Christmas tree offer is back for a sixth year offering a real Christmas tree for a fiver.

Running from this Thursday to December 24, the home furnishings retailer will be giving all customers a £20 voucher when they buy a £25 tree – cutting the overall cost of the festive essential to £5.

Bosses say Ikea will only be stocking locally-sourced Nordman fir trees from Scotland.

Marcos Tejedor, home decoration and outdoor sales leader from Ikea UK and Ireland, said: “At Ikea, we believe that people shouldn’t have to fork out a small fortune on their tree.

"There is something quite special about a fresh, real Christmas tree.

"The scent of pine needles through the home is one of our favourite Christmas fragrances, lifting everyone’s sprits during the festive season and we want as many people as possible to be able to experience that.”

The store will also be hosting 'tree styling tutorials' throughout the festive period where customers can get feedback and inspirational tips in one-hour long workshops to help them decorate their tree.

Shoppers can use their £20 voucher to spend in store between January 14 and March 3, 2019.
