SHIPLEY schoolgirl Poppy Eaglesham is becoming a familiar face on a TV talent show.

Poppy, 12, a pupil at Bingley Grammar School, is one of eight young hopefuls on CBBC’s Got What it Takes? She spent the summer in a ‘Music Mansion’, taking part in singing challenges and working with stars such as Olly Murs and John Newman. The series follows the youngsters, and their mums, and the winner will perform at BBC Big Weekend.

Poppy’s mother, Carolyn, said: “It has been an amazing opportunity for Poppy. Being the youngest and least extrovert of the talented young singers, she has faced challenges outside her comfort zone. When she’s performing her shyness disappears.”
