STUDENTS from Bradford Academy have been introduced to the world of work at a careers event
Now in its fourth year, the Bradford Experience Day helps students between the age of 11 and 16 to develop the skills needed for life in employment, by providing pupils with an opportunity to talk to businesses about working life, and different career paths.
The event, delivered by Yorkshire-based social enterprise Ahead Partnership, consisted of interview practice, guest speakers, a careers event and an enterprise competition.
The day was supported by over 30 business volunteers, from organisations including TransPennine Express and Yorkshire Building Society, who participated in practice interview sessions, held pop-up stalls at the careers fair, and assisted with the judging of the enterprise competition.
