LEGENDARY goalkeeper - Gordon Banks OBE - will be talking about his illustrious career when he attends a charity dinner in Yorkshire.
The former England international football goalkeeper, known for the heroic part he played in England's 1966 World Cup campaign resulting in a 4-2 victory over West Germany at Wembley in the final, is attending a sportsman dinner at the Deeva Restaurant, Town Street, Farsley, on November 29.
Zulfi Hussain, co-owner of Deeva who set up and runs the Bradford charity - Global Promise - says: "Gordon Banks is a real legend and a gentleman.
"It is a privilege and a pleasure to have him come to Deeva Restaurant and give us an insight into his illustrious career and share with us those very special moments from the 1966 World Cup, which rightfully earned him his place in the history of football.
"Everyone immediately remembers his heroic efforts during the World Cup and one of the greatest ever saves against Pele.
"There is a great deal of excitement building up as we count down to welcoming him to Deeva Restaurant in Farsley on the 29th November.
