MALONEY Metalcraft, which acquired certain of the assets of Ormandy Group from administrators earlier this year, has signed a new six-year lease on its factory site in Duncombe Road, Bradford.

The move follows a full review of the group’s business activities, which have seen operations centralized at the Bradford facility and investment in upgraded business systems and new product development. David Dzimitrowicz, managing director of Ormandy Group, said: “I’m delighted that we’ve been able to secure a new lease on the premises, which are now home to three great British heritage brands: Ormandy, Rycroft and Newade.

“When we acquired certain of the assets from administrators earlier this year, we were hopeful that by combining those assets with the capabilities of the wider Avingtrans group, we’d be able to breathe new life into the businesses.

“Nine months on, we’re excited by the opportunities we’ve identified and this lease extension is a mark of our commitment to the site; investing in business improvements and retaining skilled jobs in the area.”

Maloney Metalcraft’s parent business, Avingtrans PLC, has developed a reputation for turning around the fortunes of underperforming businesses in highly-regulated, engineering niche markets

Ormandy Group manufactures off-site plant, heat exchangers and other HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) products and has supplied systems for major projects such as The Shard and the refit of Wembley Stadium. It operates primarily in the HVAC, construction, offshore, defence, pharma and food processing markets.
