AN event has been planned to celebrate the work Bradford's faith groups do to support young asylum seekers and refugees.

To celebrate Interfaith Week, the Faith Centre in conjunction with Bradford City of Sanctuary are holding a follow-up evening to celebrate last year's successful Faiths in Action event.

The aim is to celebrate and promote the work being done across the city by faith and non-faith based groups and organisations, working together to support asylum seekers and refugees.

Tomorrow's event will showcase the work of organisations across the district and is open to all. This will be an opportunity to learn more about the services being provided to the most needy in our communities as well as a sharing of good practice.

The venue will be the Faith Centre, Oakwood Ct, City Rd, BD8 8JY and the provisional programme is as follows:

4-5pm Stalls/Networking

5-6pm Talks

6-7pm Food/Networking

The Faith Centre also runs sub zero provision for homeless people, financial aid for those in crisis and hosts social gatherings for groups.

Talat Sajawal, Family Support Lead at the Faith Centre "I am proud that the Faith Centre has worked with Bradford Council and over 40 other organisations around the district, who work so well together to help the most vulnerable people in our city. The Annual Faith In Action event celebrates the achievements of these organisations over the past year and I invite everyone to attend"
