BRADFORD X Factor star Danny Tetley has made it through to the next round of the singing competition.

The Shipley-born singer took to the stage on Saturday night to perform a powerful rendition of the Celine Dion classic 'My Heart Will Go On'.

Robbie Williams' act Misunderstood were eliminated first, after landing bottom of the public vote.

It was then between Acacia and Aaliyah and Gio Spano, as both acts performed for the judging panel once more.

Ayda Field saved Gio and Louis Tomlinson and Nile Rodgers saved Acacia and Aaliyah.

Sharing a picture on the 'Danny Tetley's Got the X Factor' support group on Facebook, Leanne Tetley, wrote: "THANK YOU all for your love & support & voting to keep Danny in .. as you saw from the show he is completely devastated his best mate in the house & show has gone .. and as a family we are upset as gio & his family have become really close friends on this journey .. so now more than ever we need to keep dan in as he is Aydas only act left & WE HAVE to keep dans spirits up for BIG BAND week that we know he will smash ..."

He's also due to make a homecoming appearance at the Low Moor Club on Huddersfield Road this evening, which will raise money for the Yorkshire branch of the Cleft Lip and Palate Association.
