A PIECE of derelict land could become a play area and community garden if plans are approved.
The proposals, for waste land in the Bankfoot area, have been submitted to Bradford Council by Marshfield Odsal Bankfoot Enterprise (MOBE).
The application outlines the land, at the junction of Faxfleet Street and Rathmell Street, would be transformed into a play area for young children, with a soft play area and a community garden with raised growing beds.
A metal container for gardening tools would also be temporarily sited on the land.
MOBE was formed back in 2014 to look at issues in the area.
The group says its aims are to address high levels of deprivation to disadvantaged residents in the Marshfield.Bankfoot area.
It supports cross-cultural interaction and inclusion, by developing local talent and providing volunteering opportunities.
