GIANT poppies have been installed on a roundabout in Baildon to pay tribute to the fallen from the First World War.
The wooden flowers were specially cut out by villager Harry Ward, 81, who served in the Royal Artillery in 1955 when he was 18 for two years and received a medal for active service.
They were then hand-painted and placed on the Browgate/Northgate site for the 100th anniversary of the Armistice.
The wood was donated by Baildon Timber.
