The lights went down, the crowd roared, as Minogue mania swept through St George’s Hall in November 1991, for Bradford’s annual illuminations. Why the Australian singing sensation had chosen Bradford for her only live European appearance no-one knew, but that was the last thing on people’s minds as all eyes focused on the figure cheerily jumping around on stage. Although Dannii was only on the stage for less than fifteen minutes, every second was rated worthwhile, for the lucky first 2,000 people who had queued and been given free admittance to St George’s Hall.
