CONCERNS have been raised over an application to convert nine apartments in Manningham into a mosque.
If passed, the proposals would see the self-contained apartments in Parkfield Road, turned into a place of worship. But Bradford Council's Environmental Health department has raised some concerns about noise.
A consultation comment says it must be demonstrated that proposed activities will not "cause a nuisance to the occupier of the nearest dwelling".
"I recommend that a condition be imposed prohibiting the call to prayer through amplification," it adds.
"I would also recommend that doors and windows are kept closed during prayer time."
The application says the mosque will relocate from its current location nearby at Woodview, North Avenue
