STUDENTS at a Baildon school put challenging questions to their local MP at a recent climate change workshop.

Philip Davies was a guest at Titus Salt School for the workshop, run by charity Hope for the Future.

In the workshop, issues discussed included air pollution, green energy, fuel poverty and divesting in fossil fuels.

Students from the school's Eco Clubs questioned Mr Davies, who voted against the Climate Change Act, on his views and opinions and presented passionate talks about trying to improve environmental awareness.

Greg Trusselle, outdoor education leader, said: “We were very proud when we were awarded the Bronze Eco-Schools Award; pupils have invested in this worthwhile cause and are dedicated to doing their bit to improve the environment.

"What better way to debate the topic than with Mr Davies? It was an invaluable workshop which our pupils enjoyed very much. Thank you to Mr Davies and Sarah Robinson from Hope for the Future for organising the event.”
