THE sound of pounding hooves will return to Bradford’s Lister Park next month as Epilepsy Action’s annual Reindeer Stampede 5k family fun run takes place.
The fundraising event is being held on Sunday, December 2, when runners will be raising funds to support the 600,000 people affected by epilepsy in the UK.
Carl Foster, fundraising events officer at Epilepsy Action, said: “We welcome runners from all over West Yorkshire to run for this brilliant cause.
“The Epilepsy Action Reindeer Stampede unites all ages and abilities, so come and join the herd, kick-start the festive season and make this year our best yet!
“Fancy dress is always welcome, every entrant will receive a free pair of reindeer antlers, and finishers will receive a medal and mince pie.
“Since the event started in 2010, we’ve raised over £38,000 which makes a huge difference to people affected by epilepsy.”
The Reindeer Stampede is open to anyone over eight. Younger children can take part in a mini Reindeer Stampede of 400 metres.
