According to a picture caption November 6, 1974, these children were enjoying themselves safely at a bonfire in Thornarce Crescent, Wrose, Shipley, after attending a series of safety workshops held by the West Yorkshire fire service. The campaign warning children of the dangers of fireworks and bonfires had apparently paid off, as it was one of the quietest Plot Nights in the area in years.
