MARIE Curie’s Bradford Hospice is seeking donations for raffle prizes or items to sell on stalls for this year's Christmas Fundraising Fayre which is being held at a different venue.

The fundraiser takes place on Saturday, December 1, between 12pm and 2pm.

Due to ongoing refurbishment work at the hospice the event will be held at Feversham Primary Academy School which is situated at the rear of the hospice.

Hospice staff are working hard to put together a magical Christmas experience for all the family. There will be a visit from Santa for the children; a host of stalls selling gifts, cards, crafts and bric a brac; a tombola and raffle and the ever popular cake stall.

Refreshments will be available, including home-made snacks and sweet treats.

Clare Wood, hospice fundraising assistant, said: “We are extremely grateful to Feversham Primary Academy School for kindly allowing us the use of their premises.

This year we’re hoping to raise in excess of £2,000 but we’re desperately in need of donations from local people and businesses to support the event.

"We’re looking for anything that can be used as raffle prizes or to be sold on stalls such as toys, books, games, food hampers or beauty products and we also need gifts that we can give to our patients and their young relatives this Christmas to help add some festive cheer.”

The event is free to attend and Marie Curie is asking local people to come and join in the fun. Access to the school can be gained on foot via the hospice grounds or off Harewood Street.
