SPECSAVERS has relocated its Bradford Darley Street outlet where it has been for the past 25 years to a large premises at The Broadway.
The launch party was an action-packed weekend of events including dancing and free ice creams with hundreds of visitors packing the new city centre store.
On Saturday a Bumblebee Transformer robot made an appearance while the First Love Bradford University Dance Stars performed in the street outside.
A balloon maker was also in attendance as was a stilt walker, face painter and hair braider.
The weekend was also due to include performances from vocal group Christopher and the Robins as well as a visit from the Bradford Disability Football teem.
A colouring competition was also taking place over the weekend.
Store director Pete Rooke said: "We've been looking forward to relocating to The Broadway for a number of months so it's exciting that the time has finally come and we're open to the public.
"We've really made an effort to make this weekend a real extravaganza."
Ian Ward, general manager at The Broadway added: "We are very excited to welcome Specsavers optical and audiology services to The Broadway. It's been a fantastic year for us welcoming new retailers and continuing to be a key destination for the city's shoppers.
"We are really proud to extend out retail offering further with another leading retailer."
