IT'S been a five year wait, but staff at Al-Falah Supermarket in Manningham finally have their hands on the largest Asian tiger fish they have ever seen.
Manager Anhar Ali said due to customer demand they first asked suppliers for a giant bhag ayer fish five years ago.
And this week customers will be able to take home part of the 100 kilo whopper - double the normal size seen in stores in the UK.
Mr Ali told the Telegraph & Argus that the larger ones are renowned for their flavour and that since taking delivery of the frozen fish last week, it has already virtually sold out on pre-orders alone.
"We had almost given up hope of getting one around the 100 kilo mark," he said. "But our suppliers have managed it in the end.
"It's very unusual to see one this size and has created a lot of interest."
