THIS was the scene after two people were injured when a car crashed into a wall on Sunday.
Emergency crews were called to Leeds Road at 10.40pm after the Ford Focus crashed into the garden wall and became wedged between a bus stop.
The two people in the car were checked over by paramedics at the scene and only had minor injuries.
One resident, who sent in the photographs, spoke of her lucky escape after planning to catch a bus home from the same stop.
She said: "We approached the traffic lights, turned the corner and found a car had crashed into the bus shelter and was jammed between the wall and the bus shelter.
"If we had arrived less than five minutes earlier we would have been sat in the bus shelter with our backs to the out-of-control car.
"We were obviously very shocked at what we encountered. Neighbours were already at the scene and had checked underneath the car for any casualties."
