A SECOND man has appeared in court charged with the murder of 40-year-old father-of-three Amriz Iqbal.

Mohammed Nisar Khan, also known as Meggy, 40, was charged with murder and attempted murder, and appeared at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates' Court on Saturday, October 20.

He is charged with murdering Mr Iqbal on Wednesday, October 3, in Sandford Road, Bradford Moor, when Mr Iqbal and another man were hit by a car and then attacked. Mr Iqbal, 40, of Wetherby, died following the attack, and Amran Ahmed suffered minor injuries.

A 36-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder has been released on bail.

A 32-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder has been released on bail, and a 31-year-old man arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has released under investigation.

Another man, Tony Grant, 38, of Queens Road, Bradford, pleaded not guilty to the murder of Mr Iqbal and attempted murder of Amran Ahmed at Bradford Crown Court on October 11.
