SIR- Recently, former Tory grandee Jeffrey Archer, said that he would vote for Jeremy Corbyn if he lived in the North. He quoted this recently when he was travelling through the Northwest of England to give a speech at a school. He said that when he looked out of the window, it did make him think that he would vote for Corbyn if he had lived “up here”. He went on to say that he felt that he had too much and was over-privileged and with half of what Corbyn said he agreed with 100 per cent

Not many from his background and privilege would be expected to agree with more than half of such a re-distributive social democratic agenda but nevertheless he showed honesty that many from his background and political persuasion wouldn't neither share nor admit to thinking.

It makes a refreshing change to here someone from his background to temporarily step out of their West London centric comfort bubble and be honest as a response to such an experience.
