TWO Bradford businesses have been named as finalists in this year’s British Takeaway Awards (BTA).
The Sweetie People, based in Town Gate, Wyke, and Khyber, at The Green, Idle, are among the Yorkshire finalists on their way to a star-studded ceremony at the prestigious Savoy hotel in London on November 12.
The BTAs are run in association with the Just Eat online food delivery service. To determine the region’s winner, each of the finalists will now be marked on a mystery shop, and will provide a written submission on why they deserve to win.
A panel of judges, including restaurant industry innovator, businesswoman and former star of BBC2 Dragon’s Den Sarah Willingham (pictured) and Graham Corfield, UK Managing Director of Just Eat, will review the results and identify the 12 regional winners and the overall Best Takeaway.
