POLICE officers were assaulted after responding to reports of a man with an axe on a Bradford street.
One man was arrested after around 10 police officers, some on motorbikes, were called to Otley Road, Undercliffe, at 5.24pm after reports of an armed man.
One man, who took photographs of the scene for the Telegraph & Argus, said he saw an axe on the ground when he arrived and a man being put in handcuffs.
A police spokesman told the Telegraph & Argus that a man had been arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon, resisting arrest and three counts of assaulting a PC.
They said there were no serious injuries.
