COMPUTER problems are still having an impact on GP services more than a week after they first started.
IT issues were first discovered at GP practices across the district last Wednesday due to a problem with an air cooler at the Douglas Mill data centre on Bowling Old Lane.
A spokesman for Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven, Bradford City and Bradford Districts CCGs said the server was moved to a modern one at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary over the weekend, however, while it was “largely successful”, the changeover did not resolve the problem.
Extra IT staff have been drafted in and they are making “significant progress”.
The spokesman said practices can use their main clinical system and an alternative fast track system for suspected cancers and other urgent referrals has been put in place.
