NO insurance, using a mobile phone, failing to wear a seatbelt and no road tax.
These are some of the offences uncovered as part of an Operation Steerside day of action in the Bowling and Barkerend ward.
Officers from the Bradford East Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) and the Roads Policing Unit teamed up with the DVLA, DVSA, taxi licensing, Bradford Council and environmental enforcement for the crackdown.
The team said: "Numerous motorists have been dealt with for road traffic offences, including vehicle defects, no insurance and driving with no licence."
The results included:
- Twenty five vehicles clamped for failing to hold current road tax
- Six vehicles seized
- Eight traffic offence reports for no insurance, use of a mobile phone and failing to wear a seatbelt whilst driving
"The DVSA have taken action against motorists that were found to be using red diesel to operate personal vehicles as well as use vehicles that were in a non-roadworthy condition," said the NPT.
They added officers had been "extremely busy" and were "only too happy to deal with motorists that choose to break the law".
